Made in the U.S. A. This chicken coop is handcrafted here in the United
States. Since these are handcrafted, please allow two weeks for the chicken
coop to ship.
Raising a flock of backyard chickens is easier than you think. Shelter, a chicken
coop, for the chickens is the main item you'll need to provide. It's a place
that allows the chickens to roost safely protecting them predators and the weather.
Also, a chicken coop allows the chickens to nest. They'll consistently come
back to their coop to lay eggs in the nesting boxes.
This medium sized chicken house sits on a pedestal. It's perfect for a yard
that's already fenced in or if planning to make a small chicken yard with light
fencing.
Chickens should have a clean environment. Choose a chicken coop that's easy
to clean, and replace bedding for the nests. The Classic Urban Chicken Coop
has a door on the side for direct access to food and water. On the front of
the coop is a window for ventilation and the nesting boxes. The nesting boxes
have a separate access door, making egg collection and replacing nest material
simple.
Classic Urban Chicken Coop:
Hen house capacity-
This is a medium sized chicken coop. It's plenty of space for four to six chickens.
Roosting sticks-
There's 8 linear feet of roosting space for the chickens. In cooler weather,
you'll notice the chickens closer together. In warmer weather, they'll spread
out a bit on the roosting sticks so they'll need the roosting space the sticks
provide. It's plenty of room.
White roof-
Chickens tend to dislike the heat. A white roof on this coop reflects the sunlight,
cooling down the coop. And, it's a well ventilated coop with the wire covered
window and ventilation holes.
